President Nicușor Dan has enacted a law modifying traffic rules for motorcyclists, moped riders, and cyclists. The law allows these groups to navigate alongside stopped vehicles at red lights, provided they maintain a speed of no more than 20 km/h. Motorcycles and mopeds can also use bus lanes under specific conditions. Additionally, the law mandates the establishment of designated parking spaces for motorcycles and mopeds in public areas. The law will take effect three days after its publication in the Official Gazette, with the government given 60 days to update the traffic code regulations.
