Romanian gymnast Ana Maria Bărbosu has been suspended for two years by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) due to three violations of anti-doping regulations. The violations involved failing to communicate her whereabouts for doping tests between September and December 2025. The suspension is effective from May 5, 2026, and while she will be ineligible for competitions, her results from December 2025 onwards will not be annulled. Bărbosu is also involved in a separate arbitration case regarding the 2024 Paris Olympics, which is currently under review. The CAS's Anti-Doping Division oversees such cases and ensures compliance with the World Anti-Doping Code.
