The Romanian auto market has slowed down in Q3 2026, with passenger car registrations dropping by 18.1% to 125,351 units. First-time registered cars fell by 19.8% to 114,529, while new cars saw a decline of 26.4%. Imported second-hand cars dominated the market, accounting for 71.7% of registrations, according to INS data.
