Andreea Pirui, a former contestant on Puterea Dragostei, has been placed under preventive arrest in absentia for involvement in drug trafficking. Prosecutors from DIICOT Cluj allege she organized the transport of high-risk substances from the Netherlands to Romania. She is one of four individuals under investigation for international and domestic drug trafficking. The court ordered her arrest as she evades prosecution, allegedly encouraged by her brother-in-law, who is also under investigation. Investigators claim she and another man facilitated a 36-year-old's trip to the Netherlands to purchase psychoactive substances, which were intended for sale in Cluj and Sălaj counties. The substances were discovered hidden in a pillow during a police operation.
