The Minister of Labor, Florin Manole, announced that pensions will be indexed starting next year after two years without increases. He mentioned a potential increase of 7.3%, pending budget discussions. Prime Minister Luca Niculescu confirmed that the final decision will depend on the Ministry of Finance's budget figures. Manole emphasized that budget adjustments should not come at the expense of pensioners, highlighting the need to respect commitments without further burdening them. He also noted the significant increase in the minimum pension since 2017, which rose by 250%.
