Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed hope that the Democrats' victory in the U.S. midterm elections will enhance American financial and military support for Ukraine amid the ongoing war with Russia. In an interview, he acknowledged the Democrats' clear stance on supporting Ukraine and restoring ties with Europe. Zelensky emphasized that the U.S. Congress's position could influence Russian President Vladimir Putin's calculations. He also discussed SpaceX's role in providing internet connectivity through Starlink, while expressing concerns over the company's restrictions on military use. The new Congress will begin its term in January 2027, and the election results do not guarantee increased aid for Ukraine.
