Vadim Crîcimari, a former footballer for Oțelul Galați, passed away at 38 due to aggressive cancer. He was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma in March and had been preparing young athletes as a coach. Despite fundraising efforts that raised over €23,000 for his treatment, he could not be saved. Crîcimari is survived by his wife and two children.
