British adventurer Karl Bushby has completed his 50,000-kilometer journey around the world, which took nearly three decades. His final destination was his mother's home in Hull, England, where he received a warm welcome. Bushby, a former paratrooper, embarked on this adventure after his marriage ended, inspired by his father's question about walking from London to New York. He began his journey in Chile in 1998, adhering to two rules: not to return to the UK until the journey was complete and not to use any form of transport. Despite facing numerous challenges, including imprisonment and border issues, he spent about 15 years walking. Now back home, he plans to adapt to everyday life and is working on a documentary with filmmaker Werner Herzog and a second book about his travels.
