PSD deputy Adrian Câciu claims Romania is losing 12 billion euros from the PNRR, attributing this to incompetence. He warns that a loss of 3.4 billion euros will increase the budget deficit by 0.9% of GDP. Câciu states that Romania forfeited around 7 billion euros last year and over 1 billion this year. He emphasizes that the current situation pressures the budget deficit significantly. Romania may only receive 3 billion euros of the remaining 6.4 billion euros from the PNRR by year-end, with the remaining 3.4 billion at risk of suspension due to unmet reforms. The European Commission will decide on this matter on November 20.
