Starting in 2027, bus ticket prices in Alba Iulia will decrease after the local transport service is taken over by Alba Iulia Transport Local SRL. A single ticket will cost 4 lei instead of 5 lei, and a monthly subscription will drop from 150 lei to 100 lei. The local government has proposed a direct delegation of the transport service to the new company, with the current contract expiring on January 7, 2027. Various categories of passengers, including war veterans and students, will receive free travel or discounts. The public consultation for this project was initiated on November 2.
