The Minister of Investments and European Projects, Mihai Alexandru Ghigiu, is seeking solutions to complete advanced PNRR projects using European funds. He mentioned that funds from the SAFE program and the future PPNR will be allocated for highways that missed PNRR deadlines. The focus is on legally utilizing both European funds and the national budget to finalize essential investments for local communities and Romania's economy. Discussions with the Ministry of Transport are ongoing to identify solutions for infrastructure projects, with over 100 projects currently under preliminary review. Priority will be given to projects at 80% completion, while others may be phased into different European programs.
