German tire manufacturer Continental AG reported a return to profit in Q3 2026, following losses in the same period of 2025, attributed to reduced expenses. The company achieved a net profit of €349 million, compared to a net loss of €756 million in Q3 2025. EBIT rose to €487 million from a negative €733 million a year earlier. Expenses related to assets for sale dropped significantly, and overall sales decreased to €3.454 billion from €3.898 billion due to the sale of its OESL division. For fiscal year 2026, Continental anticipates a profit margin of 13.4% to 14% and sales between €13.5 billion and €13.9 billion, reflecting a strategic reorganization focused on its core tire business.
