Ionuț-Alexandru Toader, son of former Justice Minister Tudorel Toader, was dismissed from his teaching position at UAIC due to serious ethical violations, including sexual harassment. The Ethics Committee found evidence of abuse of academic power and conditional evaluations based on sexual favors. UAIC expressed solidarity with affected students and condemned harassment, offering psychological counseling services. Toader is also under criminal investigation for rape and sexual assault, with a recent court ruling allowing him to serve house arrest instead of preventive detention. The university's decision is separate from the ongoing criminal case.
