The opening of 13 kilometers of the A0 Nord highway has significantly reduced travel time between Ploiești and Constanța by nearly 40 minutes. Initially estimated at 3 hours and 24 minutes, the journey now takes approximately 2 hours and 47 minutes. This new route utilizes the A3, A0, and A2 highways, eliminating the need to navigate the old beltway around Bucharest. The improvements also benefit drivers from southern Bucharest, allowing them to bypass the city entirely. The newly opened sections enhance connectivity and reduce congestion in urban areas. Completion of the northern semi-ring is expected by 2026, with further connections planned for 2027.
