The restart process is complex and follows strict nuclear safety protocols. The company emphasized the importance of this operation for energy security and stability. Unit 1's operation requires significant water volumes for reactor cooling, affecting the water level in the intake basin, which may delay the restart of Unit 2 until the Danube's water level rises sufficiently. Both units were shut down this summer due to low water levels.
