The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announced plans to increase the food budget for hospital patients due to rising costs. He discussed this with Prime Minister Luca Niculescu and emphasized the need for a tariff adjustment in light of increased VAT, inflation, and energy prices. Rogobete also requested an evaluation for improving the kitchen facilities at the 'Grigore Alexandrescu' Children's Hospital after recent photos showed poor food quality. He encouraged feedback from patients and staff regarding food conditions and clarified that the current daily food budget of 22 lei is insufficient. He noted that hospital food prices should not be compared to restaurant prices due to centralized purchasing.
