Traian Băsescu commented on the partial results of the US elections, stating that the MAGA movement has collapsed at home and that Americans were not deceived. He expressed this on Facebook after the Republicans faced significant losses in the midterm elections. Băsescu also analyzed Donald Trump's position, suggesting he will only remain a diminished figure in American politics. The elections marked a major defeat for Trump's Republicans, with Democrats achieving important victories, including gaining seats previously held by Republicans in both chambers of Congress, thus securing a majority in the House and Senate.
