The Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA) is distributing payments totaling €164.779 million to nearly 35,000 beneficiaries. Since the start of the advance payment campaign, €854.788 million has been authorized, crucial for farmers preparing for the new agricultural year. Minister Florin Barbu emphasized the importance of timely support for farmers, highlighting the efficient functioning of the Ministry and APIA. The funds come from various European and national sources, with significant allocations for different payment schemes aimed at supporting sustainable agricultural practices. The payments are processed directly by APIA and the Agency for Financing Rural Investments (AFIR) for rural development measures.
