In the third quarter of 2026, new registrations of passenger vehicles decreased by 18.1% compared to the same period in 2025, while new registrations for freight vehicles fell by 5.2%. New cars accounted for 28.3% of total new registrations, down 2.5 percentage points from the previous year. Electric buses and minibuses made up 6.4% of the total stock. There was a notable increase in registrations of mopeds and motorcycles by 9.8%, but significant declines in buses and minibuses by 37.3% and cars by 19.8%. For freight vehicles, there was a slight increase in tractor registrations by 0.5%, while trucks saw a decrease of 10.5%. Compared to the second quarter of 2026, new registrations fell by 3.1% for passenger vehicles and 3.0% for freight vehicles. By the end of Q3 2026, 67.5% of registered vehicles complied with Euro 4, 5, or 6 pollution standards.
