Romanian candidates had mixed results in the November 3, 2026, U.S. elections. Mihaela Pleșa, a Democrat, secured her seat in Texas, while Ionel Roiban, a Republican, lost in Florida. Ciprian Ivanof's results in Washington D.C. are pending. Pleșa made history as the first Romanian-American woman elected in Texas, defeating Republican George Flint. Roiban, a former PMP vice president, lost to Democrat Rob Long by a significant margin. Roiban criticized USR's political direction before leaving PMP and has been active in promoting Romanian-American political engagement.
