Initial estimates for the US midterm elections suggest that Democrats are set to achieve a historic victory, gaining control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate. USR President Dominic Fritz commented on CNN's projections, emphasizing that this outcome demonstrates that the political system can be challenged through organization and resilience. He highlighted the clear demand for change from American voters, noting significant wins such as Kansas electing a Democratic senator for the first time since 1932. Fritz drew parallels between the political situations in Romania and the US, urging against complacency and calling out corruption in Romania. He asserted that the anger over corruption and rising prices would impact local political dynamics, while advocating for a strategic partnership with the US based on shared interests.
