American company Castelion has received approval to integrate its hypersonic missile "Blackbeard" onto F-16 fighter jets, which are used by over 24 countries. The U.S. Navy has funded design modifications to expedite the export of these weapons systems to allies. Castelion is rapidly expanding its operations, developing weapons for aircraft, ground forces, and naval use, backed by venture capital funding. The missile travels at speeds exceeding Mach 5, posing a competitive challenge to Russia and China, who currently lead in hypersonic weapon development. CEO Bryon Hargis stated the company aims to produce thousands of "Blackbeard" missiles annually, focusing on massive production capacity.
