Bernadette Szocs achieved a decisive victory at the WTT Champions Frankfurt 2026, defeating Peng Yu-Han and advancing to the round of 16. This win serves as revenge for her earlier loss to Peng in February 2026. Szocs, ranked 21st in the world, won in straight sets against her 36th-ranked opponent. She will face the winner of the match between Satsuki Odo and Hitomi Sato in the next round. Romania is also represented by Elizabeta Samara, who is set to compete against Nina Mittelham.
