On November 3, 2020, Donald Trump emphasized the importance of the elections for his presidency, urging the Jewish community in New York to support Republican Congressman Mike Lawler. Trump highlighted Lawler's strong ties to the Jewish community and his commitment to fighting antisemitism. The elections, known as Midterms, involve all 435 House seats and 35 Senate positions, with Democrats needing at least 218 seats to gain control of the House. The voting process is under unprecedented scrutiny, with around 1,000 observers deployed nationwide.
