A bomb threat targeting flights to Rome was claimed by a group called "Fighters of the Male State," which opposes feminism. The email, sent in Italian, threatened explosions and referenced a desire to impact history. The group appears linked to a previously known ultranationalist movement founded by Vladislav Pozdnyakov, which has a history of false bomb threats. Although the original group was banned for promoting hate, its ideology persists in smaller online communities. Similar threats were made in Montenegro in 2022, also attributed to the "Male State."
