12 angajați ai unui spital din Olanda, în carantină după tratarea unui pacient cu hantavirus

A university hospital in the Netherlands quarantined 12 medical staff after they failed to follow strict protocols for a hantavirus patient evacuated from the MV Hondius cruise ship. The incident occurred at Radboudumc in Nijmegen, where standard procedures were mistakenly used instead of the required protocols. Although the risk of infection is considered low, the staff will remain in quarantine for six weeks. The patient is also isolated. The hantavirus outbreak on the cruise ship has led to at least seven confirmed cases and three deaths. The MV Hondius will undergo thorough disinfection upon arrival in Rotterdam.
