**What was analyzed:** The article reports on the PSD consultations with President Nicușor Dan for the formation of a new government, following the dismissal of the Bolojan Cabinet, and the conditions imposed by the PSD, including the exclusion of Ilie Bolojan as prime minister and non-pro-Western alliances. **What sources confirm:** Multiple external sources, most from the same day (May 18, 2026), confirm the consultations at Cotroceni, the participation of the PSD as the first delegation, Sorin Grindeanu's statements regarding the exclusion of Ilie Bolojan as prime minister and alliances outside pro-Western parties, as well as the dismissal of the Bolojan government through a vote of no confidence with 281 votes. **Limitations:** The exact duration of 30 minutes of the PSD discussions, although implied by the tight schedule and the statement
