Recommended next steps
- Follow updates from independent OSINT analysts regarding the completion of the northern perimeter.
- Compare with a primary source (document/report) for the key figure/statement.
- Check the date and context: whether the claim was valid only during a specific period or for a region.
Analysis limitations
- The information is based on satellite image analysis conducted by OSINT investigators and Radio Free Europe / Liberty, with no confirmation from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
- The specific types of systems mounted on each tower (Pantsir vs Tor) remain a military estimate based on previously observed configurations.
- Photographic or ground reconnaissance evidence showing that the towers have a different civilian or communications purpose and not anti-aircraft.
