They argue that the current energy crisis cannot be effectively managed by a caretaker government. The party criticizes interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan for his contradictory stance on energy solutions while accusing him of neglecting urgent energy needs. PSD has also requested the European Commission to activate emergency measures to ensure energy supply for the population and economy. They assert that Romania should not have to choose between energy security and accessing European funds.
