Modernizarea Falezei Dunării din Galați: 3.000 de arbori noi

The Galați City Hall clarified the modernization project of the Danube Promenade, addressing concerns about tree removal. The mentioned figure of 900 trees is a maximum estimate, with a net increase in vegetation expected post-project. The long-term investment aims to rehabilitate pedestrian infrastructure and green spaces, while also ensuring the protection of certain species. Mayor Ionuț Pucheanu emphasized efforts to preserve healthy trees and replace removed ones with 3,000 new trees. The project, costing over 226 million lei, will transform the promenade over the next two years, enhancing recreational spaces for residents and tourists.
