Ziua Crucii, marcată pe Vârful Caraiman printr-un moment solemn dedicat memoriei eroilor români căzuți în Primul Război Mondial

On September 11, a solemn event will take place at the Caraiman Peak to commemorate Romanian heroes from World War I. Military personnel, veterans, and volunteers will ascend to the Cross of Heroes as a tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the country. The ascent begins at 8:00 AM from Piatra Arsă Cabin. The cross, located at over 2,200 meters, symbolizes national sacrifice and memory. It was rehabilitated between 2016 and 2020 as part of a project funded by the European Union.
