In Romania, the next minivacation will be from November 28 to December 1, 2026, due to the legal holidays of St. Andrew and National Day. The 2026 calendar includes four remaining legal holidays, while 2027 will have 17 legal holidays, with only nine falling on weekdays. The legal holidays are defined by the Labor Code, which includes both fixed and movable dates. In 2027, several holidays will overlap with weekends, limiting the number of weekdays off. Notably, Easter in 2027 will provide a four-day break from April 30 to May 3. Employees can also create longer breaks by taking leave around holidays, and the government may grant additional days off for public sector workers. Working on a legal holiday entitles employees to compensation or time off later.
