Călin Georgescu faces a preventive arrest request from DIICOT after being detained for 24 hours. Prosecutors are investigating a case involving a claimed loss of 1.1 million euros. Alongside businessman Ionel Rusen, Georgescu is accused of forming an organized criminal group and committing fraud. The investigation began following a complaint from businessman Răzvan Leu, who alleges he was defrauded in a business deal. During a nine-hour search of Georgescu's home, authorities found suspicious equipment, including a jamming device and a fake senator ID. The court will decide on the preventive arrest request soon.
