Zeci de oameni, în fața Parlamentului European, la protestul pentru susținerea lui Călin Georgescu

On October 18, protests erupted in Brussels against the preventive arrest of Călin Georgescu, a former presidential candidate. Supporters gathered outside the European Parliament, displaying banners and chanting slogans in his favor. The protests were sparked by a court decision from September 29, which ordered Georgescu's detention for 30 days due to allegations of organized crime and fraud. Meanwhile, in Bucharest, around 300 people protested outside the Central Arrest, demanding his release. Although a court has annulled the preventive arrest, the decision is not final as it is being contested by DIICOT. Georgescu's case involves claims of significant financial loss by a businessman.
