The Zărnești City Hall has initiated urban planning for an 85-hectare plot near the old industrial area. A contract worth 115,000 lei was signed with Zeen Design Studio for the development of a Zonal Urban Plan (PUZ). This plan will define how the land can be utilized and developed, addressing issues like space organization and accessibility. Currently, the land is agricultural and lacks a precise urban function, although it is near existing infrastructure. The planning process will consider existing utilities and transport links, aiming to integrate future developments into the urban landscape. Most of the land is privately owned, with only a small portion in public ownership.
