Witkoff și Kushner, prima vizită la Kiev pentru pace

Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, special envoys from the U.S. President, visited Ukraine following talks with Putin in Moscow. President Zelensky emphasized the need for peace and security guarantees. The visit aims to mediate a resolution to the ongoing conflict, which has been at a stalemate since early this year. Negotiations may resume by late September, but Russia shows no signs of conceding territorial claims. Both sides agreed to refrain from airstrikes on Kyiv and Moscow to ensure the safety of U.S. negotiators. However, broader ceasefire proposals from Ukraine have not been accepted by Russia.
