West Nile în Europa: peste 240 de cazuri. Șase au fost raportate în România

This year, Europe has reported over 240 cases of West Nile virus infections, with Italy and Greece being the most affected countries. The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) confirmed 241 cases since the transmission season began. The World Health Organization (WHO) has urged increased vigilance due to the rising cases. The virus is primarily transmitted by mosquitoes, and while most infected individuals remain asymptomatic, severe cases can affect the nervous system. Currently, there is no vaccine or antidote available, and preventive measures are recommended for travelers.
