Waldevar Energy has significantly increased its revenue and profit in 2025, despite the arrest of its CEO in a corruption case involving a €450,000 bribe. The company's revenue rose from 190 million lei in 2024 to 436 million lei in 2025, marking a 129.4% increase, while net profit surged from 20 million to over 50 million lei. The growth comes amid an ongoing investigation by the DNA regarding a contract for an energy storage system, where the CEO is accused of soliciting a bribe. Waldevar has distanced itself from the allegations, asserting it did not engage in corrupt practices and had reported internal irregularities.
