Vulturul şi cei doi grifoni distruşi în bombardamentele din 1944 au fost readuşi pe Palatul Universității București

The eagle and two griffins destroyed during the 1944 bombings have been restored at the University Palace in Bucharest. This project, valued at around two million lei, is led by sculptor Alexandru Siminic and aims to fully restore the original fronton designed by architect Alexandru Orăscu. The bronze ensemble weighs 1.6 tons and symbolizes the recovery of the architectural identity and historical memory of the university. The restoration is part of a larger initiative to modernize the University Palace, funded by the National Program for Public or Social Interest Construction.
