The National Meteorological Administration forecasts significant weather changes in Romania, with widespread rain, mountain snow, and strong winds expected from October 11 to 13, 2026. Rainfall will spread across most regions, particularly affecting the southeast. Wind gusts may reach up to 90 km/h in mountainous areas. Temperatures will drop, especially in Transylvania, where highs will be around 18-19 degrees. Rain is also anticipated in Banat, Crișana, Maramureș, Moldova, Muntenia, Oltenia, and Dobrogea, with varying intensities. The mountainous regions will see a transition to snow at higher altitudes, and overall precipitation levels are expected to exceed normal averages in southern Romania after October 12.
