The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) forecasts a significant weather change in Romania, transitioning from heatwaves to heavy rain and storms. Starting Thursday afternoon, high temperatures between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius will be recorded in several regions, particularly in southern Banat. A yellow warning for extreme heat is in effect for parts of Banat and Transylvania, with temperatures reaching up to 36 degrees. From Friday afternoon until Sunday evening, strong winds and thunderstorms are expected nationwide, with wind speeds of 40-60 km/h and heavy rainfall. In Bucharest, warm weather will persist until Friday, with temperatures around 32 degrees, but will cool down significantly over the weekend, with rain and lower temperatures forecasted.
