Romania is experiencing a warm spell with temperatures reaching up to 25 degrees Celsius, particularly in the west and southwest. Meteorologist Elena Mateescu from ANM notes that the country is influenced by a tropical air mass, leading to higher temperatures. However, strong winds, especially in the southeast, are also a concern, with gusts reaching 70 km/h. Nighttime temperatures are rising, but eastern Transylvania may still see lows around 2 degrees. The warming trend is expected to reduce the likelihood of snowfall in mountainous areas, although some snow may still persist at high altitudes. This warm weather pattern may continue into early October.
