The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has been implicated in illegal luxury purchases using public funds, including high-end lingerie and cosmetics. Minister of Environment, Diana Buzoianu, revealed that a control body found significant expenditures on luxury items from 2025 and 2026. The purchases included clothing, perfumes, and home decor, totaling hundreds of thousands of lei. Buzoianu plans to send the findings to the Prosecutor's Office and has called for the resignation of ANM's leadership, expressing shock at the misuse of public money. Further legal actions may follow if no resignations occur.
