Votul dat de Senat, în scandalul privind dreptul de veto al României în Consiliul UE. Oana Țoiu acuză „o minciună cap-coadă”

The Romanian Senate adopted a declaration defending the country's right to protect its national interests in EU foreign policy. Oana Țoiu, the interim Foreign Minister, is accused of participating in efforts to extend qualified majority voting in the EU Council without a clear mandate. The declaration was supported by PSD, AUR, and PACE, while PNL and USR opposed it. Țoiu refuted claims that Romania is giving up its veto power, stating that such a change cannot happen overnight and requires unanimous parliamentary approval. The Senate demands clarification from the government regarding Romania's commitments and insists on protecting national interests in the Black Sea region and beyond.
