A polar vortex is hitting Romania, leading to a significant drop in temperatures after a warm weekend. Starting today, temperatures in the capital will fall from 28-30 degrees to 18-20 degrees. This change will be felt nationwide, with colder mornings and increased rainfall. Mountain areas may experience even harsher conditions, including snow at higher altitudes. The National Meteorological Administration forecasts that while the initial cold spell will bring below-normal temperatures, a warming trend is expected later in September and early October, with precipitation levels varying across regions.
