Bucharest's City Hall secured €87 million in non-reimbursable funds for public transport improvements, including new trams, trolleybuses, and electric buses. The investment will replace aging vehicles, enhancing the city's transport system. Mayor Ciprian Ciucu emphasized the importance of this funding for a cleaner and modern public transport network. The current fleet consists of 1,679 vehicles, with a significant portion being older models. Over the past decade, the city has invested approximately 2.5 billion lei in upgrading its transport fleet.
