The current trade pressure is compared to a 'second China shock,' affecting sectors where Europe traditionally excelled, such as automotive and green technologies. Additionally, the EU's dependency on China for critical raw materials poses strategic vulnerabilities, prompting the establishment of a European Corporation on Critical Raw Materials to bolster strategic stockpiling.
