Von der Leyen anunță intervenții pe piața energiei: 100 de milioane de barili eliberați și ajutoare de stat prelungite
The European Union is preparing a package of measures to alleviate high energy prices, including releasing 100 million barrels of oil and diesel over the next four months. Ursula von der Leyen announced this after the European Council meeting, highlighting the significant increase in fossil fuel import costs since the Middle East conflict began. The EU aims to implement short- and medium-term interventions, extending state aid frameworks and delaying methane regulations. A strategic dialogue on refining capacity will also be initiated. The Commission emphasizes the need for energy independence and a transition to renewable sources, while addressing trade imbalances with China.
