Construction work volume increased by 15.4% in the first eight months of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, according to the National Institute of Statistics. New construction projects rose by 18.7%, while maintenance and repairs saw increases of 10.9% and 6.8%, respectively. Residential buildings experienced a significant growth of 22.9%, with engineering constructions and non-residential buildings also showing positive trends. Adjusted figures indicate an 11.7% rise overall, with new constructions up by 16.8%. In August 2026, construction volume surged by 40.5% year-on-year, driven by new projects and residential buildings, which saw a 54.9% increase. Month-on-month comparisons also showed growth in construction volume.
