In the first seven months of 2026, construction work volume increased by 11.2% compared to the same period in 2025, according to the National Institute of Statistics. The growth was driven by new construction projects, maintenance, and capital repairs. Residential buildings saw the highest increase at 18.6%, followed by engineering constructions and non-residential buildings. In July 2026, construction volume rose by 7.6% from June, with notable increases in maintenance and repairs. Compared to July 2025, there was a 2% increase in construction volume, primarily due to new construction, while repairs saw declines. Adjusted figures showed an overall decrease in construction volume by 8.3% compared to July 2025, with significant drops in capital repairs and maintenance.
